The world is made of that which you can see, and that which while present is invisible to the naked eye; yet it is this microscopic world that makes the invisible whole and visible.

As a fluid artist, I use paint in a controlled way to create complex and whimsical landscapes in my own unique way; taking the randomness of the paint as it floats on the canvas and with my own special technique move it into recognizable landscapes, transforming fluid acrylics into a different type of art. I combine the unconstrained and unexpected results you get when pouring paint on a canvas and mix that with the masterful way that artists can paint a landscape. I am taking two opposites and putting them together.

Within the whole of the landscape there is the microcosm of the unseen that makes the seen possible and so it is with my art. It is comprised of the finished artwork but made up of a multitude of unseen elements. In creating my landscapes the obscure world of the unseen beckoned. What is this unseen world like? There is a wonderful synergy between the worlds of the seen and unseen that is joyful and nourishing to our spirit and emancipatiing to the mind. I decided to delve deeper into my landscapes to the unseen elements hidden within. 

My abstracts are the interpretation of the hidden life within my landscapes. Complex patterns, bold compositions juxtaposed, at times, against the soft flowing themes of the micro world: the infinite array of vivid and muted colors combine to come together and offer a glimpse into life's amazing possibilities and provide the viewer of my work time to contemplate how the microscopic world is relevant to our everyday lives and how it touches each of us personally. 

When you engage with my art be that with my landscapes or my abstracts it is my hope you will experience within a sense of joy and freedom and come to understand that each of us is connected to the whole and that you are not "in nature," but rather "are nature”.
